About Spark Safety
Since 2009, Grand River Occupational Health and Safety Inc. has delivered industry-leading, award-winning safety solutions. Our new name, Spark Safety Solutions, reflects the team’s vision to bring safety to life at companies across North America.
Who we are
Spark Safety Solutions was created to deliver the highest standard of safety solutions for companies across North America.
Founder, Wes Mazur, CRSP, CHSC, NCSO, has over 20 years of safety leadership and experience. Over the course of a decade working in various government and industry safety roles, Wes realized that workplace safety is at risk because too many organizations are underserved.
Employers who rely on external consultants and trainers to keep their workers safe expect those providers to have a deep understanding of health and safety and the experience to effectively reduce operational risk.
But time and again, Wes saw failures in health and safety programs. Companies were at risk even when they’d paid a high price for safety consulting and training.
Too often, those services weren’t delivered by experts with proven experience in safety.
