Provide essentials to workers on key aspects of the Electrical Safety Program (ESP) and how it pertains to their role. Provide answers on how the Electrical Safety Program will be implemented “on the ground” for the various departments. Provide two simulated work task scenarios relevant to client-specific work tasks which provide the students with an opportunity to perform and document typical arc flash and shock risk assessments (using equipment warning labels and the PPE Category Table Method). Work task scope and descriptions will be provided, review and application of the work flow process, Risk Register Table, ESP program Table 2 summary of work tasks, detailed completion of the Electrical Energized Job Risk Assessment (and Energized Electrical Work Permit if needed), and selection of PPE, pre-use checks, and donning of demo PPE done in the class.

Provide and collect feedback information on the ESP, and question and answer forms, for follow-up by Electrical Safety Steering Committee (ESSC) and supervisors on program questions and needs.

Essential knowledge of applicable codes and standards and their use in performing arc flash and shock risk assessments will be provided during this rollout training in order for the student to effectively participate in this training.

However, it is strongly recommended that students have arc flash and shock training in advance of this rollout training in order to obtain maximum benefit from this rollout training.
