Course Description
This course is the second part of Joint Health and Safety Committee Certification under the Occupational Health and Safety Act and Ministry of Labour. This mandatory course provides participants with an understanding of how to recognize, assess and control workplace hazards, the rights and duties of certified members, and how to conduct effective workplace inspections and incident investigations.
The course includes seven modules: a review of JHSC Part I key concepts, and 6 workplace-specific hazard modules. Discussions, activities and case studies will be completed with reference to legislation, standards, and codes applicable to the 6 workplace-specific hazards.
Course Duration: 2 days (13 hours)
